Dentures

Dentures are removable dental appliances (except implant-supported dentures) designed to replace missing teeth and restore the function and appearance of a person’s smile.

Types of Dentures:

1. Complete (Full) Dentures:

These replace all teeth in either the upper or lower jaw (or both). There are various ranges of complete dentures which include,

  • Acryrock teeth and Hi impact base
  • Ivoclar teeth and Base
  • Injection molding
  • Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS)
  • Flexible

2. Partial Dentures:

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. There are three different types of removable partial dentures which include,

  • Conventional removable partial denture
  • Flexible removable partial denture
  • Cast Partial Denture

3. Telescopic Dentures:

The denture works on the principle of friction between the two sets of crowns, providing stability and retention. It combines the benefits of fixed prostheses (like bridges) with the removability of conventional dentures.

4. Implant-Supported Dentures:

These dentures are anchored to dental implants surgically placed into the jawbone.
